Take the ferry from Tha Chang pier to Wat Rakhang pier to get here. If you visit at sun down, the temple lights up at night.

ระฆังวัดบางหว้าใหญ่ขุดได้ในวัด ร.1 ทรงขอไปไว้ที่วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม แล้วทรงให้สร้างหอระฆังจตุรมุขพร้อมระฆังอีก 5 ใบพระราชทานไว้แทน ส่วนจุดที่ขุดระฆังได้ให้ทำเป็นสระน้ำ ตั้งหอพระไตรปิฏกในสระ

วัดระฆังโฆสิตารามวรมหาวิหาร เดิมชื่อวัดบางหว้าใหญ่ เป็นพระอารามหลวง ชั้นโทชนิดวรมหาวิหาร เป็นวัดโบราณ สร้างในสมัยอยุธยา สมัยรัชกาลที่1 ได้ขุดพบระฆังภายในวัด จึงได้พระราชทานนามว่า "วัดระฆังโฆสิตาราม"
